Welcome to the memorial page for

Beverly T. Tullio

April 22, 1934 ~ October 31, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Beverly Tullio (“Bev”), passed away on Tuesday, October 31st of complications from Alzheimers Disease.  Born to Sigurd and Clara Gullickson in Kenmare, North Dakota, in 1934, Bev and her sister, Marilyn were raised in a loving family home open to all. Bev’s fondest memory was the day they moved to “town” from the farm, Mohall, ND, population of 700. Bev went on to nursing school and met her future husband, Paul (a Chiropractic physician) while in Chicago on affiliation for nurse’s training. They were married until Paul’s death in 2000.  Bev and Paul had a daughter, Debra, who was showered with love by both parents.  After Debra was born, Bev stayed home and involved herself in all the many things a young mother does. Throughout Bev’s life she was involved in various activities:  the Women’s Guild for the Chiropractic association, church activities at St. Marks Episcopal church, and her beloved Sweet Adelines.  Bev sang with the Sweet Adelines for almost 40 years before retiring as her disease progressed. Bev was the most loving grandmother to her two grandkids, Julia and Adam.  They were the light of her life - - her prayers were truly answered the day she became a Grandma. Bev is preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Sig and Clara, her sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Cliff Nelson and beloved family and friends.  We know they are reunited and smiling down upon us now.  She is survived by her only child, Debra Zabloudil, her grandchildren, Julia and Adam Zabloudil, and her many nieces and nephews. Bev’s wake will take place on Friday, November 3rd  from 4 – 8 pm at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.  Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 am, preceded by a final visitation at St. Marks Episcopal  Church, 393 N Main St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137  at 9:30 am. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Bev’s smile could light up a room, and her quick wit and humor left a lasting impression on friends and family alike.
