Virginia Elbrecht Obituary

Virginia Modesta Elbrecht née Del Beccaro, 90 years old, was a resident of Winfield, IL since 1997 and Glen Ellyn, IL for 47 years. Loving wife of Robert for 54 years, is survived by her children Mary, Matthew, Robert (Vicki), John, Susan, Tom (Meri), Carolyn, Rebecca and Chris (Alais).  Her grandchildren Kristen, Brooke, Mark, Thomas, Christopher, Modesta, Mcel, Becca, Sophia, Lola and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, brother Edward and son Mark.
Virginia graduated from college in 1950 and married Bob Elbrecht in 1953, whom she met at Chicago Title & Trust Co, where they both worked.  They moved to Lake Geneva, WI and started their family.  Four years later they moved to Glen Ellyn, IL and continued their growing family.  She loved Glen Ellyn and belonged to St. Petronille Parish.
In addition to being a homemaker, she belonged to CCW at St. Pet's and volunteered at Central DuPage Hospital.  She was always reaching out to those in need whether it was inviting them for dinner, taking them to church or rides to appointments and a strong supporter of the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.  She loved the opera and listening to classical music.  Most importantly, she lived and walked by faith everyday and was extremely selfless and caring to all she knew.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.
