Tania Mitton, 88, of Glen Ellyn. 

It is with great sadness that the family of Tania Mitton, 88, Glen Ellyn, share that she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Albert Mitton. Cherished mother of Jennifer Mitton-Cox, Rebecca (Michael) Banta and the late Aaron (Jane) Mitton. Devoted grandmother of Griffin Cox, Cullen Banta, Cole (Morgan) Banta, Jessica Mitton (Chris O’Gorman) and Adam Mitton. Dear daughter of the late Russel and Hazel Schmollinger. Loving sister of Sherry (Ken) James. Fond aunt of Mark (Monica) James, Greg James and Troy James. Great Aunt of Alexa and Zachary James. 

Tania loved being with her family and friends above all else.  She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her deep faith and never waning positive outlook.  She was a dedicated and involved member of First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn.  She was devoted to her occupation with Wheaton Orthopedics for over 30 years.  Mostly, Tania will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.                     

A Celebration of Life begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, 550 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Afterwards, all are welcome to a reception at church from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, corner of Riford and St. Charles Roads in Glen Ellyn immediately after the reception.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society in Tania’s name.
