Miguel Garcia Soriano

Miguel Garcia Soriano, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2022, in hospice care near his home in Glendale Heights after losing his battle with Parkinson’s disease for over 15 years.

Miguel was born on November 17th, 1946, in the small town of La Gavia, Zacatecas, Mexico to Manuel Garcia and Maria Guadalupe Soriano. Miguel began working very hard to help his parents at a young age and developed a passion for firearms, horseback riding through his small town and farmlands, and exploring the local silver mines of Zacatecas as a young boy.  Miguel was an extremely hard-working man who found it very difficult to be idle.

Our beloved Miguel is survived by his second wife Amalia De La Torre-Rosales, his children Juan Gilberto Garcia, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, & Elizabeth Garcia. He was a caring grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many loving family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

And the dust returns to the Earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.   Ecclesiastes 12:7

 Visitation is scheduled Sunday October 30th 2022 at Leonard Funeral Home 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 from 1 – 7 pm. The funeral and mass will be held Monday October 31st, 2022 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church 1555 Glen Ellyn Rd, Glendale Heights, IL 60139. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.

Falleció en una clínica cerca de su casa en Glendale Heights IL el dia 27 de Octubre 2022 a la edad de 75 años. Su esposa Amalia De La Torre-Rosales, hijos Juan Gilberto Garcia, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, y demas familia lo comunican a sus amigos y conocidos y les ruegan que lo tengan presente en sus oraciones.

El velorio tendrá lugar el 30 de Octubre 2022 en Leonard Funeral Home 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. La misa y funeral se llevará acabo el Lunes 31 de Octubre 2022 en St. Matthew’s Catholic Church 1555 Glen Ellyn Rd, Glendale Heights, IL 60139 y el entierro seguirá después en Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
