Dear Dave,
I was informed of your Dad's passing by Steve Raczak of Twixwood. I am so sorry for your loss. I crossed paths with him over the years through you and Ann Carton. He was a wonderful man that I will always be honored to have known. I send my deepest sympathy to you and your wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jennifer Brennan

The Lisle community has lost a gentleman who was a tremendous leader for many years.
Mr. Tyznik was a "DOER" & led by example & was able to reach out to others to assist in many areas to help make the Lisle community a better "place!! Mr. Tyznik's contributions
of his knowledge, as well as his "roll-up-your-sleeves & do what you can do---always influenced my appreciation of the many years of his dedicated service to the Lisle Park
District & the Lisle Unit School District #202 schools.
One of the major reasons that I agreed to accept the position of Supt. of Schools as well as the leadership role in making the cooperative agreement eith the newly formed Lisle Park District was because of the commitment of Mr. Tyznik & the Board of Directors to
give Lisle residents "more bang for their Buck"---the fact that the school & park district
cooperate today is a tribute to Mr. Tyznik & the other commissioners & board of education to work together---The two work together--Park maintains grass/land, snow,
The School District's facilities are utilized by many Park residents--thus savings to public.
Yes, Mr. Tony Tyznik was a remarkable gentleman, a true leader & great father!
The Lisle Community salutes you Tony. The Nalley family will always remember you!

My condolences to David and the rest of the family.
I got to know Tony, and later his son David, when I worked on the grounds at the Morton Arboretum in the 1970s. Tony always seemed to have a smile on his face. He talked to me and others without talking down to us and shared insights about plants and design.
I worked under him as a garden for a few years and kept in touch with him for a few years after I left Illinois.
One summer Sunday morning in 1978 or so, I decided to visit the Unitarian church in Naperville. I walked around the building and thought that the landscaping seemed kind of familiar. Later I learned that it was because Tony had done the landscape design there.
I'm glad I worked for him and got to know him. He was one of the reasons that I decided to have a career in horticulture.

Uncle Tony was such a happy part of my childhood! He was always smiling and put up with so much chaos when the 5 of us kids came to visit! He will be missed by many. I am so glad i have some of his artwork here to enjoy. God bless all of you!
Love,
Melissa (Tyznik)
