Yvonne "Bonnie" Catherine (Koch) O'Brien Porter

Yvonne (Bonnie) O’Brien Porter, 97, of Glen Ellyn IL, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022. Bonnie was born on August 19, 1925 to Edwin and Mildred Koch in Evansville, IN. Bonnie met her husband Harry O’Brien at a Hines VA Hospital dance in Illinois. They married in 1948 and enjoyed a loving relationship for 41 years. She was a caring registered nurse for over 50 years. Bonnie was predeceased by Harry O’Brien (first husband), Jessie Porter (second husband), and Nancy Quandt (daughter). She is survived by her children (Timothy O’Brien, Dennis O’Brien [Sarah], Deborah Haseman [Matthew], [James Quandt] and Jean Messersmith [Nathan]), 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, December 16th from 4 PM - 9 PM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Funeral Mass, Saturday December 17th, 9:30 AM at St. Petronille, 420 Glenwood Ave., Glen Ellyn. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
