Walter "Wal" H. Monson

Walter Monson of Warrenville, IL passed away on December 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Walter was 81 years old. Walter was the cherished husband of Jeanne for 55 years and devoted father to his children; Julie (Jamie) Clark, James (Anne) Monson, and Kathleen (James) Garbacz.  Walter’s legacy also lives on through his ten grandchildren that meant the world to him; Austin, Eddie, Ellie, Emily, Evvie, Nora, Eiley, Allison, Wyatt, and Emmett; and his sister Carole Sorensen.  He was preceded in death by his unborn daughter Ann and his parents, Walter and Jeanne Monson.  A beloved “Uncle Wally” to many nieces and nephews. 

Wal was never far from a joke or a story and adored his family.  Wal’s wit, warmth, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.  He will be loved and remembered by many.
