Timothy Francis Kalafut, of Ypsilanti, Michigan passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Cherished father of Noah Kalafut. Son of Robert and Lois Kalafut (nee: Furlong) and brother and uncle of many.
Being the fifth of twelve siblings, Tim was an inspiration and guiding force to those around him. His unfailing wit and humor allowed him to make and maintain close friendships wherever he went. His numerous travels across the globe spoke to his adventurous spirit, and his love for travel, food, and people. Along these travels, Tim would never fail to bring back many hand-made mementos, each with a story. Tim had a relentless competitive spirit that allowed him to excel in his favorite sports, including golf, pool, darts, and bocce ball.
Tim also took pride in his professional accomplishments. After obtaining his master's degree in manufacturing management in 1992, he served in senior management positions for supplier quality positions at General Motors, Saturn, Lear, and Veoneer over the course of his 44 year career.
Tim will be remembered as a fierce protector of those he loved and left all of us a reminder to appreciate the unusual and fun moments in our lives.
