Terry Tucker, 78, Glen Ellyn. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Tucker. Loving Mother of of Amy and Sarah and Mother in law of Michael and Antonio. Dearly loved Grandmother of Jacob, Antonio, Nicholas, and Gabriella. Devoted Daughter of the late Lyle and Elsa and compassionate big sister of Rusty and Mary.

From an early age Terry was a fierce protector of her siblings and those she loved. Her sister feels blessed to have had her in her life and will be forever grateful for her hand in saving her not once, but twice. She went on to be a Hilltopper and proud band member, where she played the saxophone.

While her beginning aspirations were to be a teacher, life led her to a forty-year career at Mutual Trust Life Insurance company where she was an invaluable member of her team and was surrounded by faithful friendships that withstood the test of time.

She adored spending time with her grandchildren whether it was watching their sporting events or spending time with them in other ways. She found great joy in family vacations throughout the years. She will be especially remembered for taking long walks on the beach, collecting shells, and stargazing with her grandchildren. Other hobbies were her enthusiasm for getting lost in a good suspense novel and being outdoors gardening.

Her grand dogs enjoyed her attention, and she equally received joy from their presence. Along with her husband she became a snowbird, traveling to Florida to get away from the cold and enjoy the friendships she made there throughout the years. She was able to take one of her dream vacations to Alaska with her husband and friends.

She was a thoughtful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. If you even mentioned that you liked an item, you would be sure to get it for Christmas! She took great joy in hosting holidays and watching her loved ones open gifts. She formed family traditions that she will always be remembered for as they will continue in her honor.

She will be forever loved, missed and kept within the hearts of those who knew her.

Memorial Gathering from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
