In Loving Memory of Stoja Popovic

Stoja Popovic, from Wheaton IL, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. 

She was a woman of remarkable strength and kindness, whose life was defined by her devotion to her loved ones and her heritage.

Stoja was the beloved wife of the late Kode Popovic, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and a deep, enduring bond.

She is survived by her children, her son in law, daughter in laws, her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many others.

Stoja was predeceased by her husband, her two sons and her parents. Her legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and the many friends who were fortunate enough to know her.

Stoja’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous other family members and dear friends in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, the USA and worldwide

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Interment will take place at the New Gracanica Cemetery.

After the interment Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will take place at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046

U znak sećanja na Stoju Popović

Stoja Popović, iz Wheaton IL, preminula je mirno 30. Aprila 2026. godine, okružena ljubavlju svoje porodice.

Bila je to žena izuzetne snage i dobrote, čiji je život bio definisan njenom privrženošću voljenima i njenomnasleđu.

Stoja je bila voljena supruga pokojnog Kode Popovića, sakojim je dijelila životna sjećanja i duboku, trajnu vezu.

Iza nje su ostala djeca, zet, snahe, njeni dragi unuci, praunuci i mnogi drugi.

Stoju su ranije preminuli suprug, dva sina i roditelji. Njenonaslijeđe ljubavi i otpornosti će živjeti u srcima njeneporodice i brojnih prijatelja koji su imali sreću da jepoznaju.

Stojino dobro i velikodušno srce će jako nedostajatibrojnim drugim članovima porodice i dragim prijateljima u Bosni i Hercegovini, Srbiji, SAD-u i širom svijeta

Opelo (Srpska pravoslavna sahrana) održaće se u subotu, 2. maja 2026. godine u 10 časova u Srpskompravoslavnom manastiru Nova Gračanica, 35240 W Grant Ave, Treće jezero, IL 60046.

Pokop će se obaviti na groblju u Novoj Gračanici.

Nakon pogreba, Daća će se održati u Srpskompravoslavnom manastiru Nova Gračanica, 35240 W Grant Ave, Treće jezero, IL 60046.
