Scott D. Bromann of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away at the age of 69 on September 6th, 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Gloria Bromann and his brother Craig Bromann. Scott attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Hadley Jr. High School, and Glenbard West High School (1970) where he was active on the baseball, basketball, and football teams. He then attended Southern Methodist University and proceeded to obtain a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. He married his high school classmate Carlyn Bromann (nee Zumbrook) and had 3 daughters whom he lovingly raised in his hometown.
Scott continued to play basketball and softball as an adult, and he coached his girls’ softball teams for many years.
He was a regular at Faith Lutheran Church, where he served in a number of roles including council president, Sunday school teacher, confirmation leader, and usher. As a sustaining member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Scott will be remembered not only as a professional but as a friend.
What Scott enjoyed most was walking to Lake Ellyn to catch a Glenbard West football game, reading the newspaper, going to the dog park with his dog Holly, and making his grandkids laugh. He greatly valued his longstanding relationships with his friends, family, and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Carlyn, daughters Katrina Bromann (Art Riewaldt), Gretchen Maynard (Brian), and Sonja Bromann; four grandkids; and his brothers Mark Bromann and Dean Bromann.
Visitation will be held at Leonard Memorial Home on Friday, September 10th , 4 pm to 8 pm. All are invited and welcome to attend the visitation. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 11th at Faith Lutheran Church 41 N. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn IL. Because of COVID, occupancy limits will be honored at the church.
