Richard Joseph Mascarella

Richard Joseph Mascarella, 56, of Addison, IL passed away on May 22, 2023. Rick was born in Washington, PA on January 29, 1967 to Robert and Geraldine (Wasik) Mascarella. Rick retired from the Village Of Glen Ellyn Public Works Department in May of 2022 where he worked for 38 years. Rick loved fishing and boating. He enjoyed spending time in Wisconsin with his family and friends, also spending time with his partner of 28 years, Jennifer Brown and their dogs (to whom he affectionately referred to as his “Sons”). He was a simple man of few words and had the biggest heart and beautiful smile. He will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

Rick is survived by his parents Bob and Gerry Mascarella, his daughter Jessica Mascarella, his grandson Jupiter Leivi Wheeling, his siblings Kerry Mascarella and Bobby Mascarella, his nieces Ashley Dazzo and Melissa Dazzo, his nephew Jeremy Lasauskas, and his partner Jennifer Brown and their dogs, “Sons” Otto and Sid. In addition, Rick is survived by many extended family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved dogs, “Sons” Amos and Otis.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
