Richard Forbear

Richard Forbear, 83, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois peacefully passed in his home March 15, 2023 with his family by his side.  

Loving husband of Carole; beloved father of Christian & Nicole; dearest step father of Michael (Virginia) Markese, Jon (Dianne) Markese, Gina (Todd) Kurtz; dear grandfather of Alex Iaccino, Michael Forbear and Lucas Forbear; dear step-grandfather of Jake Smith, Madison Smith, Skyler Kurtz, Samantha Markese, Jonathan Markese and Nicholas Markese; fond brother of Andrea (John) Gull and Cathy Forbear White, brother in law of Peter (Su) Faklis and uncle of several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Lowell Forbear and Elnora Forbear, brother Robert Forbear and his first wife and mother of his children, Marilyn nee: Faklis.

Richard graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago, IL in 1957 where he played baseball and earned his nickname of Two Bear.  He enjoyed hunting and baseball as a young man.  Richard began his career working in the recording studio of RCA and had a love for music. After his career at RCA studios, Richard ended his working career as an Accounting and Office Manager for Bellair Expediting, where he was loved by many for his wit and charm.

Richard spent his retired years spending time with friends and family and watching a lot of Cubs games. His lifelong dream finally came true in 2016 when the Cubs finally won the World Series.
