Michelle was a beloved friend, daughter, sister, mother and wife. There are so many superlatives to describe Michelle’s character; beautiful, optimistic, focused, perpetually positive and many more. She brought out the best in people and made the world a better place with her kindness, smile and laugh.
She was a fierce competitor and warrior, while also being caring, compassionate and inspirational. Michelle was a great leader and had a significant impact on all around her with her magnetic charm, infectious humor and unending loyalty. She mentored, educated and took many people under her wing while being a role model to all.
The highest compliment to Michelle will be to carry on the foundation of her legacy in your own way with your family, friends and coworkers.
She was a graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School and the University of Dayton. Her career spanned fifteen plus years at Jim Beam Brands/Beam Suntory (22 years in the industry).
She so loved watching her kids play sports, spending time with friends, sitting on the beach with a book, traveling and raising money to support breast cancer awareness and doing 11 Susan G. Komen 3-day walks with her great friend Maureen Foley.
She truly enjoyed a diet Dr. Pepper, a glass of sauvignon blanc, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve meals and Amazon Prime.
A memorial gathering for Michelle will be held on Monday, January 15th from 2-7 PM at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn.
