Michael "Mike" Mueller

Michael “Mike” Mueller, 79, passed away at his home in Alabama on November 10, 2023 after a brief illness.

Mike will be missed by all who knew him. He was born August 31, 1944 in Sterling Illinois, to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Beard) Mueller.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Hawaii and Vietnam and was a graduate of SIU, where he earned a degree in Mortuary science. Most of his career was spent at the Williams-Woodward Funeral Home in West Chicago, where he was an active member in the Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, and on the District 94 School Board.

Mike is survived by his wife Kelly (Ninedorf), son, Christopher (Michelle); daughter, Francine Pitcairn; stepson, Nicholas (Karly) Ninedorf; stepdaughter, Jamie Fisher; six grandchildren; brother John (Jan); sisters Elizabeth Holmes and Margaret (Charles) Ulrich; several nieces and nephews, and cousin Ernest “Rip” (Martena) Koken. He is also survived by his former wife, Jill Bernklau.
