Michael T. O'Brien, born on October 8, 1993, in Geneva, Illinois, Michael spent his early childhood years in Carol Stream, IL before growing up primarily in Hoffman Estates. Throughout his life, Michael was adventurous and free-spirited, often traveling and living in different places including Florida, Minnesota, and Montana. He was always searching for new experiences, friendships, and connections along the way.
Michael had a warm, social spirit and truly enjoyed being around people. He loved spending time with friends, sharing stories, laughing, and making memories. Those who knew him will remember his quick smile, sense of humor, and kind heart.
In his younger years, Michael enjoyed playing soccer and practicing Taekwondo. He loved to visit Wisconsin Dells. He was also an exceptionally talented bowler, a hobby he genuinely loved and excelled at over the years. At all ages, he enjoyed music and concerts. He was a Chicago sports fan, especially the Blackhawks. During his final year, Michael returned to Carol Stream, where he found comfort in quieter moments spent with his beloved dog and enjoying video games.
Michael faced personal challenges. Through it all, he remained deeply loved by his family and friends, who will remember both his strengths and the goodness within him.
May Michael Thomas O’Brien rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him. Always loved, never forgotten.
Service and interment will be private.
