Martha M Milano

Martha Milano, 93, peacefully passed away on June 7, 2020. Martha’s passing was unrelated to Covid-19.

Born December 26, 1926, Martha was the quintessential middle child who went with the flow and never caused much trouble. Always laughing and cheerful, Martha loved to cook, eat what she cooked, cook for her family, and make them eat it, too. Her love for food was only surpassed by her love for others. She made friends wherever she went. She was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Melrose Park, IL and more recently St. James in Glen Ellyn, IL and enjoyed praying the rosary.

Martha leaves behind 200 used plastic containers and 150 lids, some of which match; every mass card she attended over her 93 years; and numerous, expired coupons.

Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband John; sisters Anna Kraft and Mary Chambers; brother-in-law Phillip Milano; and sister-in-law Antoinette Brooke. She leaves behind her daughter Janet, sons John (aka Jay) and Jim (fiancée Lisa); grandchildren Kelly (Dominic), Kate (George), Anthony (Catherine), Nicklaus, Adam, and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Chloe, Dominic, Sienna, and Jaxon, all of whom were the light of her life. She was the fond sister-in-law of Robert (Saranne) Milano and loving Auntie Martha to many nieces and nephews.

Wake to be held Thursday, June 11, 5 to 8pm at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL; interment private.
