Marion S Jacques

We celebrate the life of Marion Jacques, 97, who died peacefully at home on October 22, 2020.

Marion graduated from Morton East High School, then from Northwestern University with a degree in Education.  She taught elementary education in Bellwood and River Forest.

She married Paul Jacques in June, 1950, and they had a daughter, Susan.

They lived in  Glen Ellyn for many years, where Marion was very involved in the League of Women Voters. She also served on the Library Board and the Board of Education for District 89.

She also participated in the Women’s Auxiliary at Elmhurst College for many years and  was a volunteer at Central DuPage Hospital for ten years.  

Paul and Marion moved to Tabor Hills retirement community in 1996, where Marion also volunteered for several years.

Marion loved to take vacations, visit Little Travelers in Geneva, and discuss current events and politics.  

She had a generous heart and had many friends over the years. She was kind, thoughtful, positive, and encouraging to others.

Marion is survived by Paul and Susan
