Marilyn Penland

Marilyn J. Penland, 72, of Wheaton. Beloved wife of Steven Penland for 51 years.

Devoted mother of David Penland & Leah Penland. Dear daughter of the late Charles & Jane Spangle. Fond sister of Richard (Marva) Spangle, Barbara Gebhardt, Margaret Rockey, and Aunt to Laurie Regacho and Chad Rockey.

She spent 30+ years as a guidance counselor at Glenbard South High School. She loved going on luncheon dates with her GSHS colleagues, traveling the world, and living overseas for a stint. You could find her reading a book on the beach or walking through the park smelling flowers. She enjoyed road trips with her family and gardening in her free time.

Memorial Gathering from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 19th at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn.
