Margaret Liano Monnier, 83, passed away on April 15th, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Margaret was born on May 31st, 1941 to Anthony and Lena Liano in Chicago where she spent her childhood and then attended college at DePaul University where she graduated with a degree in English in 1962. Margaret then lived for many years in Tempe, Arizona with a career as a paralegal. She retired from Motorola after twenty years working in their law department in Arizona and Illinois. Margaret raised four loving daughters: Denise Louise, Jennifer Ann (Tom) Shanahan, Georgianna Marie and Margaret (Filipe) Ann. She also has ten grandchildren: Patrick, Christopher, Eric, Eve and Colleen Shanahan, Luna Monnier Cano, Madalena Monnier-Reyna and Fallou, Biram and Fatou Sarr. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rosemarie and two brothers, Anthony and Raymond. Margaret was a lover of literature and music. She shared her love of music through her piano playing and singing.
