Lenore J. Dean (nee Johnson), 95, of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the ripe age of 95. She had hoped to live to 100 years, as had her father, but was glad to go home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie E. Dean, and son, Paul Allen Dean.
Lenore was born January 22, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to Reverend E. Leonard Johnson and Pearl M. Johnson (nee Anderson). The family moved to Plano, IL., and after graduating high school, she attended St. Olaf College, where she met her future husband, Les. After college, Lenore worked for TWA airlines and became a Montessori Directress in the early 1970s. She was the ultimate businesswoman, owning two Montessori Schools in Westchester and Forest Park, Illinois. The Deans lived in Oak Park, IL, until approximately 1992 when they moved to Wheaton. Lenore was a lifelong Lutheran and a supportive choir member for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughter Lori (Ken) Andreen; sons Steven and David Dean; grandchildren Brian (Brittney) Andreen, Jeremy (Larissa) Andreen, Amanda Dean, Elizabeth Dean, Daniel Dean, Joshua Dean, and Nicholas Dean; and great-grandchildren Carter, Cruz, and Liam Andreen.
