Judith Miller

Judy Miller of Mokena, Illinois, also known as Judith Marie Miller, or simply Judy, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023, at the age of 81 in Lees Summit, Missouri. Born on August 16, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Judy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister who touched the lives of many.

Judy's faith was an integral part of her life. She wholeheartedly loved Jesus and dedicated herself to serving God and helping others. She actively participated in various church committees and found great joy in using her talent as an accomplished seamstress to create many beautiful garments ranging from wedding apparel to elaborate costumes for church productions. Above all, Judy cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her children, Colleen (Michael, son-in-law) and David (Sarah, daughter-in-law). She was a proud grandmother to Michael (Mindy), Christopher (Jordan), Noelle (Clayton), Annelise, Alainna, and Adelynn, and a great-grandmother to Davis. Judy is also survived by her nephews, Josh (Jennifer) and Nathan (Ana), as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jalese, Journey, Josslyn, Jayna, Isaiah, Torah, Ezra, Selah, and Nehemiah. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Valerie. She is preceded in life by her father, Milton, mother, Agnes, and sister, Jane.

In her educational journey, Judy studied business, which laid the foundation for her successful career. She worked for several notable companies, including FMC, Quaker, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Friends and loved ones are invited to attend the visitation, which will take place on Monday, November 6th, at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 pm. The services will be held at Solutions Church (4818 Southwick Dr, Matteson, IL 60443) where Judy's life will be celebrated and her memory cherished. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 900 N. Wolf Rd. Northlake, IL.

Judy Miller will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering faith, dedication to serving others, and love for her family will forever be remembered. We are joyful that Judy is with Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and is at peace.
