JONATHAN PATRICK WEINER, beloved son of Patricia Weiner of Glen Ellyn and Jason Weiner of Chicago, dear brother of Michael (Lauren) and Vanessa (Michael), fond “Uncle JJ” of Sofia, Maxwell, Victoria, Samuel and Luca; beloved grandson of Marthita (d) and Carlos Huezo and Mary (d) and Harold (d) Weiner; dear nephew of many aunts and uncles.
Jonathan was born on March 21,1990 and died unexpectedly on October 3, 2021.
He graduated from Glenbard West High School. He was awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship and went on to earn a degree from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Drake University. Jonathan was also recognized as a dedicated and loyal member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle, and dearly loved by his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a kind, intelligent, funny, loving, and giving soul. He saw the best in everyone, had a deep sense of spirituality and prayed daily for the ones he loved. He had a strong appreciation for music, and was an accomplished guitarist. He enjoyed watching and keeping up with professional basketball and football teams. He was a light and a joy to everyone he met, with a contagious smile that radiated from the depths of his soul and shone through his eyes.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 10 at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, IL from 3:00 - 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Petronille Catholic Church, 420 Glenwood Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL. on Monday, October 11 at 2:00 pm. Interment immediately following Mass at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Rd., Wheaton, IL.
