John Porcelli passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of memories that will be forever cherished.
John was the beloved husband of 57 years to Nancy and a proud and devoted father to his four sons, Anthony (Karen), John (Peggy), Christopher (Kelly), and Michael (Maria). He was also a cherished grandfather to 15 grandchildren: Anthony John, Lauren, Matthew, Frank, Jack, Ryan, Norah, Patrick, Sean, Maeve, Dominic, Liliana, Michael, Christopher, and Joy, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
John was a man who believed in hard work, perseverance and always providing for the people he loved. As an entrepreneur, he built a successful business through determination, sacrifice, grit, and unmatched work ethic. He never backed down from responsibility and taught those around him the value of commitment, loyalty, and giving your all in everything you do. His strength and example shaped not only his family, but everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.
While successful as an entrepreneur and businessman, his accolades in this area pale in comparison to his love in being “The Papa” to his grandchildren. John’s greatest joy in life was attending any event involving his grandkids, babysitting for them, and just sitting in his backyard watching them play in Papa’s Pool.
John found happiness in the simple but meaningful moments of life. He and Nancy shared a passion for travel and adventure, exploring the world together while also creating lasting memories on countless family trips over the years. He loved spending time on the golf course and never passed up the opportunity to enjoy a great meal, good wine, and a cigar with family and friends.
John will be remembered for his generosity, strength, sense of humor and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. He had a way of making others feel supported, protected, and cared for and the impact he made on his family will be felt for generations.
