Jerry Richard Ruffalo Sr.

Jerry Richard Ruffalo, Sr., 85, of Spring Valley, CA, formerly of Glendale Heights.

Born July 8, 1939, the son of Michael Ruffalo, Sr. and Grace (Hansen) Ruffalo from Norway, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 in San Diego, CA. Jerry spent many days as a volunteer firefighter for the Glendale Hts. Fire Dept., as well as a long career with Aamco Transmissions.

He loved the Padres, bowling and golfing with his grandson and nephews. Jerry and Dee were also merciless card players, which they passed along to their grandchildren in some spirited games, which have now become tradition and fond memories.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores Y. Ruffalo (DiDomenico), loving father to Jody Galluzzi, Debra Ruffalo, the late Richard Ruffalo, Jr., Josephine (Frank) Lombardo, John Galluzzi; proud grandfather to ten, great-grandfather to eight, dearest uncle to Christopher, Tim, and the late Scott Ruffalo; brother to Barbara Sandin and the late Mary Jane Ruffalo, the late Michael (Boots) Ruffalo, the late Edwin (Aileen) Ruffalo, brother-in-law to Elisa (John) Temes, and the late Rudy and Virginia DiDomenico.

Visitation for Jerry will be 10 AM - 11 AM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn on Saturday, September 14th concluding with a short prayer service. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
