Jason Weiner

Dr. Jason Leslie Weiner, 75, of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away on Sunday August 3rd 2025.

Jason was born on August 24th, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, New York.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family. He leaves behind his wife Patricia Weiner; his children, Michael Christopher Weiner (Lauren Prihoda Weiner) and Vanessa Marie Weiner (Michael Bartolomucci); and his grandchildren, Maxwell Charles Weiner, Samuel Michael Weiner, Sofia Marie Bartolomucci, Victoria Marie Bartolomucci, and Luca Vincenzo Bartolomucci.

He is also survived by his sisters, Andrea Sanders (Alan) and Susan Weiner; his brother, Dr. Robert Weiner (Maryanne); his sister-in-law, Carolina Huezo de Ibarra (Carlos); his brothers-in-law, Dr. Carlos Huezo (Neyly) and Mario Huezo; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Jason was predeceased by his son, Jonathan Patrick Weiner, and his parents, Mary Fuchs Weiner and Dr. Harold Weiner.

Jason attended American University in Washington, D.C. and went on to obtain his medical degree from The Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara Mexico. After graduation, he completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and specialized in Internal Medicine.

For over 40 years, Jason worked in a solo practice, with privileges at numerous hospitals throughout the Chicagoland area. He was honored by Alexian Brothers Hospital for his contributions to the medical field. Later in his career, he dedicated his time to visiting homebound patients. Jason’s career was marked by his dedication to his patients and his unwavering commitment to excellence in care.

Jason had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, and staying physically fit. Later in life, Jason embraced the Catholic Faith and was brought into full communion with the Church on April 19th, 2025. He enjoyed his grandchildren and treasured his time with them together.

Visitation and prayer service from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137.

A Funeral mass will be held the next day at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church, 0S233 Church Street, Winfield, Illinois 60190.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1S 510 Winfield Road, Wheaton, Illinois 60189.
