James E. Drasal

James E. Drasal, 85, of Glen Ellyn. Beloved husband of Marie (Granum). Father of Debra M. (Drasal) Wesolowski (Robert Larque), James J. Drasal, and the late Susan (Drasal) Hartigan (Mike). Grandfather of Mike, Nick and Leigh Wesolowski; Joe, Meghan, and John Hartigan; Jennifer (Hartigan) Cagadas. Great grandfather of Maxwell and Meadow Wesolowski, Caitlin and Dylan Cagadas; Evelyn and Owen Hartigan. Son of the late Elmer and Adeline Drasal. Brother of the late Linda Ellison. Uncle of Brian, Jeffrey, and David Ellison.

Jim attended Farragut High School and went on to graduate from Beloit College in 1959. He was in the US Navy for twenty years attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Jim was a pilot for American Airlines for 30 years, where he attained the rank of Captain. He was involved in many local organizations including the YMCA and Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn and he provided personal and financial support to many local organizations. His hobbies included fishing and home improvement projects. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Visitation on Friday, July 7 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn. Funeral Service on Saturday, July 8 at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 550 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn.
