Jack Douda

Jack Douda of Glen Ellyn, IL. Loving husband of Pamela nee: Kurrelmeyer for 53 years. Adoring father of Kim (Bill) Propst & Kelley (Duane) Yock. Doting Papa pf Jakob Yock, Chase Propst & Max Yock. Dearest son of the late Lloyd & Lucille Douda. Dear uncle of Andrew Schleisman, Paul Douda, Laura Gaston & Philip Douda and brother of JoDeeDouda & Marvin Douda.

Jack passed away peacefully at Central DuPage Hospital, on August 11, 2023, surrounded by his wife, Pam, daughter Kim, son-in-law Bill and grandson Chase.  His Iowa family of Kelley, Duane, Jakob, and Max were there in spirit.

The family invites you to a Memorial gathering on Monday, August 14th from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn, IL,60137.

Jack was a dear friend to many. His smile was infectious, and he was the life of any party.  He loved spending time with family and traveling. After retirement, he cherished their time at the lake house in Antioch, where Jack spent his days on the boat, doing yard work, and tinkering on projects of any kind to keep him outside. His Glen Ellyn home was also a source of great pride, and he always had a project going, or at least one in mind.  In fact, Pam lent him out to the neighbors to keep home projects curtailed!

Jack had an unwavering loyalty to all whom he befriended wherever he lived, be it in Iowa, Oregon, or Illinois.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his loving legacy will live on through his family.
