Fiercely loyal and fiercely loved, Hallie Eileen Kolasa (31) passed away on July 10, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1994.
Hallie’s independent streak served her well throughout her life; she did what she loved and found love in the process. An avid pool player, she found community wherever she lived: North Carolina, Georgia, and Illinois. Admired for her hard work and fairness, she exuded a deep level of empathy for all she met and championed the underdog in her effort to find the good in people. Her sense of humor drew people to her and she maintained it throughout her life to the end, regardless of circumstances.
She is survived by her mother, Kelly (O’Brien) Hass, stepfather Paul Hass and beloved sister Carlin; her father Richard Kolasa, stepmother Adrienne Kolasa, and dear brother Elijah. She was a devoted granddaughter, niece, cousin, dog-mother, and adored by all.
Resilient to the end, she refused to give up and envisioned a future for herself with her family and beloved dogs Chase and Roxxy.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 3-7 PM with a remembrance service at 6:15 PM at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
