Gene Sylvester Obituary

Gene H. Sylvester, age 79 of Glen Ellyn. Loving father of Connie (Chris) Spencer, James (Debbie) and Michael. Dear grandfather of Andrew Spencer, Kristen (Sam) Stahl and great-grandfather of Genevieve, Gwyneth and Judah.

Gene was a postal clerk at the Glen Ellyn Post Office for 35 years. He loved county music, NASCAR racing and his White Sox. His was happy to fulfill his life wishes, seeing the White Sox win the World Series and traveling to Hawaii. Gene will be remembered for being a wonderful family man and someone who always made life fun for all he knew.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, February 16, from 3 PM – 6 PM, at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn (www.leonardmemorialhome.com or 630-469-0032). Interment was private.
