Enoch Anderson Obituary

Enoch “Leon” Anderson was born in Ludington, Michigan on March 22, 1937 and entered his heavenly rest on May 23, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Betty K. Anderson nee: Tiggleman. Loving father of Michael (Francheska) Anderson and Krystn (Eric) Wagenberg. Dear grandfather of Maxson Wagenberg, Ethan Anderson and Bella Anderson. Devoted son of Nora and Enoch Anderson. Brother of Elizabeth Anderson. 

He received his Bachelor of Art degree from Western Michigan University, where he met his wife, Betty. They were married on January 30th, 1960. He began his career teaching at Mulick Park elementary school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He taught 6th grade, and his wife, Betty, taught 3rd grade at the same school. In 1972, Betty and Enoch moved to Glen Ellyn, Illinois with their two children.

Enoch’s career transitioned into the office furniture industry. He worked for many fine companies in sales and marketing. He worked as a Vice President at the Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn for 53 years and supported many charities.

He enjoyed many sports into adulthood including racquetball and skiing. He was a huge University of Michigan football fan! “Go Blue!” His favorite place was Leland, MI, where he enjoyed vacationing and watching the beautiful sunsets on Lake Michigan. 

A Celebration of Enoch’s Life will be held at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn, IL on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a reception to follow. For more information, please call Leonard Memorial Home at (630) 469-0032.
