Elizabeth "Kay" Smith

Elizabeth K. Smith, 87, passed away December 18th, 2022. She had lived in Glen Ellyn for 60 years. Elizabeth was born on March 23, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hugh and Elizabeth Monahan. She graduated from Lillis High school and continued her education and earned a degree in Biology at Benedictine College in Kansas. She was preceded in death by her partner Dale F. Swenson. She is survived by her children and their families, Susan Rauch, Julie Morano, Steven Smith, Brian Smith (Lynley); 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition she is survived by her brother Michael Monahan (Shirley).

Elizabeth or better known as Kay, retired from the DuPage County Human Resource Department of DuPage County. Elizabeth endured so much in her life and always would find the humor about it all. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
