Eileen P. (Crowe) Redding

Eileen P. Redding nee: Crowe of Downers Grove. Beloved wife of Raymond for 56 years. Loving mother of Colleen (Jim) Staruck, Michael (Sandra) and Kevin (Jodi) Redding. Devoted grandma of Claire, Daniel & Nora Staruck, Patrick & Luke Redding, Emily, Sean and Colin Redding. Dear sister of Kay (John) Volk, Marge Bauschard & John Sullivan, Joan (Michael) Kenney, Liz (Dave) Becker and Maureen Crowe. Dear sister-in-law of Daniel (Patricia) Redding and Maureen (Michael) Quane, Thomas (Linda) Redding & James Redding; and cherished aunt of 21 nieces & nephews.

Eileen was born and raised on the west side of Chicago, before moving to the western suburbs. Longtime Occupational Therapist who worked in both the schools and hospitals in the western suburbs, taking joy in working with kids of all ages. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, golfing with dear friends, spending time outdoors, reading, playing mahjong, being active and traveling. She was a member of Sounds Good Choir in Hinsdale. She volunteered in the NICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She will be dearly missed by her many many friends and all the lives she touched.

Visitation for Eileen will take place on Monday, November 24th from 4-9 PM at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 25, 11 AM at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave. Glen Ellyn. Interment will be private.
