Edwin "Ted" Lane

Edwin “Ted” Lane, age 83, of Carol Stream. Loving lifelong husband of his dear wife Barbara; Devoted dad of Ted (Lisa) and Jamie (Inez); Fun loving grandpa of Kyra Lane, Jordan (Michael) Carbonell, Marissa Lane and Evan (Bri) Lane. Fond son of the late Edwin “Ted” and the late Anne; Dearest brother of the late Peter (Lorraine) Lane and dear uncle and cousin to many.

Ted was born on October 5, 1942 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and was raised in Windsor, Canada where he met his loving wife, Barbara. The couple had two sons, Ted and Jamie. As a young family, they moved to the United States to further pursue his professional career.

Ted became the district manager of Service Merchandise, leading many employees and overseeing Chicagoland stores up until his retirement.

Ted loved the life he was given, all that he was gifted to be the surrounded by. His love for his wife Barbara and many cats never went unnoticed. Ted had the gift of connecting the world around him, turning strangers into friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed elaborate woodworking, setting records on Angry Birds & riding his scooter all over town.

He will be laid to rest privately.
