Connie Lynn Smith

Connie Lynn Smith, age 64, passed away on February 10, 2026 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Born in Chicago on February 26, 1961, Connie was a deeply sensitive and gentle soul-a lover of nature, travel, reading, and all creatures great and small. She possessed a profound empathy for animals and found endless joy and comfort in the company of her pets throughout her life. She was also devoted to social justice causes and always stood up for those less fortunate in society. A devoted daughter, sister and aunt, she loved her family dearly and was a constant, caring presence in the life of her mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orvis Wayne Smith. She is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Smith; her brother, Steve Smith; and many extended family members who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Placing Paws of Illinois, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.
