Charles Richard Blaa

Charles (Charlie and Chuck to his family and friends) passed away January 11, 2025, at the age of 90. A devoted husband and father.

His career was spent with Illinois Bell, where he met his wife, and AT&T where he retired from in the late 80’s. After retirement he joined his wife and daughter in the family travel agency business and enjoyed helping his son in his home remodeling business.

Some of his favorite hobbies included: coaching boys' baseball in the early 70’s and serving on the board of Glen Ellyn Boys’ Baseball; woodworking; traveling; handyman work (there wasn’t anything Dad couldn’t fix or build); spending time with their German Shepherds.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, of 63 years, Eileen Blaa and survived by his Daughter Donna (Pete) Campbell and his son Chuck (Jennifer) Blaa; sister Jane Stephen and nephew and nieces Richard, Sharon and Sandy.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Charles from 3P to 5P on February 8, 2025, at Ki’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant, 705 North Avenue, Glendale Heights IL 60139.
