Cashmir C Venckus

Cashmir C. Venckus of Wheaton IL, born July 7, 1990, passed away on January 12, 2022 at the too-soon age of 31, beloved son of Margaret, devoted brother of Micheli. 

His life was far greater than can be contained in words, his passing a tragedy – Covid-19 viciously destroyed and took his life after a twenty-day long battle.

Cashmir was born an old soul, and was a continuous gift to all that came into contact with him. He always had a quip, told in a deadpan manner, the best part being when he broke character at the end and his tell-tale chuckle and jubilant grin took over, letting you know he was in on it the whole time. His heart loved more deeply and purely than any we’ve known. He would give all he had to the ones he loved, he saw the best in those around him, yet aware of deficits, spoke directly and honestly, with a desire to encourage. He was quite a character, and kept us on our toes!

Cashmir is survived by his mother, Margaret Micheli Venckus; his sister Micheli Paula Venckus; grandmother Virginia Kenny Micheli; grandparents Charles and Judith Venckus; father Charles D. Venckus, Jr; siblings James, Colin, Ethan, and Sarah Grace Venckus; many, many, beloved Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and numerous devoted forever friends.

Cashmir was preceded in death by his grandfather Elvio Louis Micheli; uncle Joseph Edward Micheli; and cousin Aliana Mary Micheli.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 22 at 10am with a remembrance service at 11:30am CST, at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn. The service will also be live-streamed via https://m.facebook.com/164238760261531/  Burial will be private. Funeral Information: 630-469-0032. A Celebration of Life is planned for July 2022, date and location TBA.
