Carol Jean Wandke

Carol, age 94, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2024. She was born August 22, 1930, in Chicago to Harold and Jeanette (MacMichael) Graff. Carol was preceded in death by her brother Wayne Graff, and her husband of 68 years, Norman Wandke.

Carol grew up in Jefferson Park and became a lifelong fan the Bears and Cubs. She married Norman in 1952, and they enjoyed a lifetime of happiness together.

Carol loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing bridge, walking with her friends, and traveling.

Carol was a long-time resident of Glen Ellyn, Illinois where she and Norman raised their four children: Gail, Adrienne Adams (Robert), Susan Wichlac (Charles), and Norman (Donna). Carol was the beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren: Joshua, Kevin (Kaitlyn), Ryan, Madison, Alan, Christopher, Sophie, Savannah, and great grandson Marcus.

Private interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
