Compassionate wife of Robb Dickenson; Devoted mother of Christina Grace Dickenson (Mohamed Mohamed); Beloved grandmother of Iqra Ali (7), Aminazahra Ali (5), Maryam Ali (2), and Zakariyah Ali (10 months); Dear daughter of the late Ronald Hosman and late Germaine (nee: Gallet); Fond daughter-in-law of: Robert and Anna (nee: Hittman) Dickenson; Dearest sister of Ronald (late Lisa) Hosman, Judi (George) Torrez and the late John (Kathy) Hosman; Caring niece of the late Donald (late Judy) Hosman, late Arthur (late Marie) Gallet, late Julien (Deb) Gallet and Sue Gallet; Loving aunt of Juliana (Jeff) Sattler, Madalyn Kroll and Joshua Kroll and beloved cousin, devoted family member and caring friend to many.
Carol graduated from Lane Tech College Prep High School and attended North Park University with a Degree in Music. She worked as a salesperson for Windy City Schwinn then became an owner of ProBikes & Likes, a bicycle store formerly in Glen Ellyn. She also spent time as a Repair Coordinator and Technician at Music & Arts.
She was a proud member of the Illinois Brass Band, in addition to various other jazz, concert, and brass bands throughout the Chicagoland area.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed cycling, music, kayaking, crafting, ceramics, stained glass, RC cars, and sewing. She also enjoyed attending concerts, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 10:00 a.m. – time of remembrance service (12:00 p.m. Noon) at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn.
