Brian Paulson

Brian James Paulson, age 55, passed away September 19, 2022. 

Devoted son of Gloria and the late George “Skip” Paulson. Brian grew up with four sisters, Deborah, Christine, Rebecca, and Elizabeth along with his loving aunt Georgia Peceniak. He loved to play football and ran track. As he got older, he attended University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study Biology and Psychology. He grew to be the most hardworking, determined, and dedicated man. 

At the University of Illinois, he met the love of his life, Kathleen (Katy) Treanor. They started a family complete with their six children, Grace, Dan, Eileen, John, Tommy, and Jillian. As a family they loved to spend their summers on Washington Island, cooking out, and playing cards. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Brian and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. The love that Brian had for his kids was felt throughout his extended family. He never backed down from an opportunity to host birthday parties, Christmas, or any family gathering. As the family grew, Brian welcomed them in and loved them as his own. 

Visitation will be Wednesday September 28th from 5-8 PM, with the Parastas service at 6PM,at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home (www.leonardmemorialhome.com), 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn. Short visitation Thursday September 29th from 9 AM – time of Rite of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church, 14610 Will Cook Rd., Homer Glen, IL 60491. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Fairmont, IL at the intersection of Rosalind St. & Cutter Ave.
