Betty Lou Pennington nee: Heiser, 99, of Glen Ellyn. Loving mother of Joyce (the late Jerry) Rodos, Stephen (Karen) Pennington, the late Rod (Joyce) Pennington, Carol (Jim) Constantine, Doug (Cynthia) Pennington and Ed (LueAnn) Pennington. She was a proud grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Luella Heiser and her brother the late Dean (the late Margaret) Heiser.
She passed away on Thursday, Jan 1, 2026. Betty was raised in Washington, IL and graduated from Wheaton College where she met her beloved late husband, Donald Lee Pennington.
Betty was devoted to her family and her faith. She loved teaching Kindergarten at Forest Glen in Glen Ellyn, where she was a resident, for 68 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn.
Memorial service for Mrs. Betty Pennington, 99, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 500 Anthony (corner of Main St. and Anthony), Glen Ellyn.
