Betsie Blocker Johnson

Betsie Blocker Johnson passed away in her beloved hometown of Glen Ellyn, IL on December 14, 2024 after a long struggle with Lewy body Dementia. Betsie was a 1961 graduate of Glenbard West High School and enjoyed Glen Ellyn for decades. 

Betsie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Johnson, Jr., who passed away in April 2023. Childhood sweethearts, Bob and Betsie were happily married for 58 years. Bob and Betsie raised their two children, Blake and Beth Johnson, in Glen Ellyn and retired to Naples, FL in 2000. For many years Betsie and Bob enjoyed their summers in Saugatuck, MI and winters in Naples, spending time with dear friends and family. In 2015, Bob and Betsie relocated to Pasadena, CA. Following Bob’s passing, Betsie returned home to Glen Ellyn. She is survived by her son Blake Johnson (Lisa Johnson) of Glenview, IL, her daughter Beth Johnson (Josh Epstein) of Pasadena, CA, and her beloved grandchildren Davis, Gage and Carter Johnson and Iris, Leigh and Penny Epstein. Betsie is also survived by her brothers Bill and Gary Blocker. She was preceded in death by her brother Micheal Blocker.
