Obituary

Barbara Ferrone passed peacefully surrounded by her five children on January 25th , 2023. She was born on November 26, 1938 to Bertyl and Myrtle Drugge in Minneapolis.

After high school, Barb met her soon to be husband Joe Ferrone, while on vacation in Chicago with her girlfriends. Soon enough, they were married and made their home in Chicago and then settled in Glen Ellyn to raise their growing family. Lots of fun memories that will last us forever. She was a super Mom, always there for her kids, always sweet and a true beauty. In her later years, Joe and Barb moved back to Glen Ellyn after she and Dad lived in Oregon for 8 years. She prided herself on staying independent and loved her daily walk.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Ferrone, her sister Beverly Larrison and her brother Carl Drugge. She is survived by her children: Linda Mirabella (Ted) of West Chicago, Lisa Giammalva (Jeff) of Las Vegas, Joseph Ferrone Jr. (Jacqueline) of Chicago, Barbara Blank (Matt) of Maple Park and Cheryl LaMell (Jason) of San Diego. Beloved Grandchildren are: Joseph Mirabella IV (Nellie), Jamie Mirabella (Liz), Elise Justiniano (Roger), Jessica and Jenna Giammalva, Sam and Anna Ferrone, Sophia Blank Mitrovic (Filip) and Logan Lamell. Five Great Grandchildren: Ryker, Eris, Allison, Jack and Alexis. She also leaves behind her brother Dick Drugge of St. Paul, Minnesota.
