Anthony Manganello Obituary

Anthony Vincent Manganello, age 83, passed away suddenly on April 18, 2026, following an illness. He was born on September 12, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois.

Anthony was a devoted and loving husband to Patricia E. Manganello (Barys), with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. He was a beloved father to the late Anthony N. Manganello, Mark Anthony Manganello (Michelle), Monique Carter (John) (Manganello), Charles Barys (Michelle), and Michael Barys.

He was the cherished son of the late Anthony D. Manganello and Angelina B. Manganello (Pusateri), and a dear brother to Rose (Manganello) (Rick) Woosley, Jo (Manganello ) (Louis) Marreese, Maria Rylko (Manganello), and Vincent Manganello.

Anthony was a proud grandfather to Jakob Komar, Elijah Komar, Isabella Sarussi‑Barys, Evan Manganello, Nicholas Manganello, Logan Manganello, and Karleigh McLynn. He was also a loving brother‑in‑law, nephew‑in‑law, cousin, and friend to many.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Anthony was formerly employed by Xerox and later retired after many years as a heating and air conditioning technician, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Anthony will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We will gather at Leonard Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn on Thursday, April 23rd at 10:30 AM processing at 11 AM to Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL for burial services.
