Thelma Eilene Hill

Thelma Eilene Hill (nee Thompson), born on April 7, 1922, age 95, passed away on August 6, 2017 at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Maurice Hill and they would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this September.

Thelma was the daughter of Helen (nee Cutts) and Tennes Thompson and sister to Ilaverne Gregory and brother Tennes Thompson.

She is survived by her spouse Maurice Hill, her son Donald (Nancy) Hill, son Dean (Tina) Hill, Grandchildren Douglas (Kathy) Hill and Debra (Wes) Kosova, Great-grandchildren Taylor Hill, Reese Hill, Eliana Kosova and Lillian Kosova.

Thelma was a wonderful mother and grandmother and known as one of the sweetest people on this earth with never a bad word about anyone. Her contribution was to add joy to people she met and to show an acceptance and caring to all people she came across. She was a blessing to be with.

Visitation Wednesday, August 9, 4PM – 8PM, at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn.  Funeral service Thursday, August 10, 11AM at the funeral home.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org) appreciated.   Funeral info (630) 469-0032
