Richard J. Geiersbach

Richard J. Geiersbach, 85, dear husband of Juliet (nee Jacobson) passed away Sunday, March 12th, after a lengthy battle with COPD and Prostate Cancer. Loving father of Jill and Jack Geiersbach and Robin (Wesley) Douglas. Proud grandfather of Christopher and Jordan Geiersbach and Spencer Douglas. A lifelong resident of Glen Ellyn, Dick grew up across the street from Glen Oak Country Club and there developed his love for golf. He later became a member of Geneva National Golf Club. A graduate of Glenbard West, he went on to attend Roosevelt University and then to serve with the 3rd Infantry Division in Korea where he rose to Sergeant. After leaving the service he married in 1955 and made his home in Glen Ellyn where he and his wife raised their three children. He retired in the early 2000s as President of Krispy Kist Machine Co., Chicago, IL. Services have been held.
