With deepest sorrow we announce that Rahul Herman, 25, died August 7th, 2019 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Rahul is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Celia Herman. Grandson of Antonio and Clara Sa, Oscar and Ivy Hermon. Beloved nephew of Arun and Jocelyn Hermon, Sonia (Francis) Torrado, Nelson and Sonia Sa, Lisa and Ridley Rodgers-Halliday, Manorama (Surjit) Hermon, Ashok and Sunita Hermon. Cousin of Tara, Vikram, Rommel, Joelle, Konrad, Vernon, Neil, Stedman, Myles, Anish, Kabir, Kiran, Ashwin, and Renu.
Rahul exuded adventure from the time he could walk. He was happiest when he was learning about technology, cars, motorcycles, and action movies. Passionate in everything he did, his most recent project was developing the restaurant his father established, Glen Station Steakhouse. He was thrilled to be working alongside his dad and mom in creating a place of his own.
Rahul cared very deeply for his dogs, Enzo and Sasha, and spent many hours training them with loving discipline. Balancing out his character, he had a sense of humor that is certainly accredited to his parents. He was always making everyone laugh.
Rahul had an ambitious, adventurous spirit. He was always exploring new hobbies like building custom cars; incredibly smart, he prided himself in building anything from scratch.
He loved his parents immensely.
Visitation is Sunday, August 11th from 9AM until the time of a memorial service at 11AM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home (www.leonardmemorialhome.com or 630-469-0032) 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn, IL. 60137.
