Patricia J. Mitchell

Patricia Jane Mitchell (Scottie), age 70, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 24, 2017.  

Patty was born April 17th, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio to Robert and Hannah Scott.  She was the beloved wife of Anthony Mitchell for over 49 years, the loving mother of her two sons Robert (Jane) Mitchell and Aaron (Kaori) Mitchell.  She was the very proud grandmother of Ann Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, Paige Mitchell and Kai Mitchell.  She is also survived by her caring siblings Linda Garrett and Jack Scott.  

Patty lived in Glen Ellyn for over 45 years and was an active member of the community who established many close relationships through her love of golf, gardening and quilting.  

A Memorial gathering will be held at the Morton Arboretum, 4100 IL-53, Lisle, IL. 60532 in the Thornhill Education Center on Sunday, August 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  A remembrance ceremony will start at 4:00 p.m.  Please inform the front gate attendant that you are visiting for Patricia Mitchell's Memorial service and admission will be free and directions to the Thornhill Education Center will be provided.

Please make a tribute gift in Patty's name to the Morton Arboretum.  Proceeds will go the Arboretum and be used to dedicate a tree in her name.
