Linda Alice Kurzawa, 66, a long time resident of Winfield, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her family on October 14, 2018 following a brave battle with cancer. She was born October 16, 1951 to William and Lois Lynch of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She was a graduate of Glenbard West High School where she met her husband Dennis of 46 years. Linda had a servant’s heart. She devoted more than three decades to improving the quality of life of the residents of DuPage County. Linda served on the county board from 1992 – 2010. During this time she also served as a forest preserve commissioner. She was appointed to the DuPage County Board of Health, where she served as board president until her time of death. Linda loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She treasured her time with her shop friends at Antiques of Winfield. She will be deeply missed by her husband, son Steven, daughter Leslie and son-in-law Scott Flatter. She was a loving grandmother to Cole, Aliska, Sonja and Nash Flatter, who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
She was greeted in heaven by her Savior, along with her mother and father, her brothers Michael and Thomas Lynch and many other friends and loved ones she knew and adored.
