Jean M. Williams

Jean M. Williams of Glen Ellyn & Wheaton.  Beloved wife of the late Malcolm “Mac” Williams. Loving mother of Craig (Barb) and Pamela Williams. Dear grandmother of Christopher and Elizabeth Williams, and Aunt of Fitch Williams, Mary Jo Neidlinger, Elizabeth Bjork, and Anne Brower. Lifelong friend of cousin Yolanda Deen, co-workers and Augustana College classmates.

Jean and her family moved to Glen Ellyn in 1965. She helped her husband start the Mac Williams Company, and later embarked on a career in interior design. Jean worked for Cottington’s, Inc. in Glen Ellyn for 28 years. She helped hundreds of local families with their design and furniture needs. She also participated in design exhibitions with Cavalcade of Homes and DuPage Hospital Auxiliary.

Jean was a faithful supporter of the local church, reflecting her love for Jesus Christ. She delighted in seeing her grandchildren grow and was an ardent supporter of their endeavors. She was always busy, beautifying (and cleaning) the world around her. She was a gracious hostess, an engaging companion and a faithful friend. She will be missed.

Visitation is Thursday, May 30th from 4PM until time of service: 7PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Interment Friday at 10AM, Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Believers’ Prayer Fellowship Church, 0N380 Highlake Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185.
